On March 25th, Germark carried out an emergency drill as part of our commitment to workplace safety and risk prevention in the work environment. The drill, organized in coordination with an external Occupational Risk Prevention company, aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of our recently updated Emergency Plan and reinforce response procedures in critical situations.
The exercise simulated a fire in the Production area and included the care of an injured person in another part of the company, allowing us to assess the coordination between the intervention, evacuation, and first aid teams simultaneously.
From the detection of the incident at 10:18 a.m. to the end of the drill at 10:30 a.m., all planned phases were carried out: alarm activation, emergency team response, complete staff evacuation, and attention to the “victim.” The full evacuation was completed in just 9 minutes, and the final headcount was fast and efficient.
The report prepared highlights the exemplary behavior of the staff, the proper coordination of the involved teams, and the correct use of fire-extinguishing equipment. Additionally, some areas for improvement were identified, which we will work on internally to ensure even better performance in future drills.
These types of simulations are essential for testing our safety protocols, identifying opportunities for improvement, and, most importantly, ensuring the protection of everyone at Germark. We appreciate the collaboration of the entire team and will continue working to maintain a safe and well-prepared work environment.
